You'll
notice that we don't have prices here. That's because
each customer has unique needs that may be more or less
than some cookie cutter solution that another provider
has that really isn't right for you. Shadow
Feeds - gives the your customers the
impression that you are running a news server. You add a
CNAME entry in your DNS and when your customer enters news.yourdomain.com
in their news client, they connect to what appears
to be your news server. We will need to know how many
subscribers you have and the number of IP classes that
you have to quote a monthly service price for you.
Suck
(aka NNPT pull) - most modern news servers
operate in a sort of economy mode. Suck feeds are based
upon what your end users read off of your server. In other words,
articles don't get pulled down from our server unless
they are in a group your customers are reading. This can
save from 40 to 60% of the bandwidth needed for a full
feed.
IHAVE Feeds - are
the most traditional type of Usenet feed. Since they
send ALL the articles on our server to yours, they eat
up gobs of bandwidth. If you have a fat pipe (at least a
T-1) then this is probably not a bad thing.
